WWE Signs New Five-Year Pact with Sky

LONDON: BSkyB has extended its contract to exclusively broadcast WWE's weekly flagship programming in the U.K. and Ireland for another five years.

This agreement will carry WWE and Sky's partnership into a milestone 30th year. Through 2019, BSkyB will continue to carry WWE Raw and SmackDown and will also add WWE Main Event to its lineup. The programming airs in HD on Sky Sports, with additional offerings on Sky 1.

“WWE is brilliant entertainment, and I am delighted to once again extend our relationship with them,” said Barney Francis, the managing director of Sky Sports. “WWE is hugely popular with our viewers, and now, they can continue to watch all the big events and weekly programs with us.”
