ProSiebenSat.1 Scores DreamWorks Package

MUNICH: The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has inked a deal with Constantin Film for a raft of features from DreamWorks Studios, including current titles such as The Fifth Estate, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

The agreement covers all films that DreamWorks will begin shooting by the end of 2016 and for which Constantin Film has the German-language rights. The pact is for exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights for Germany and Austria.

Among the film highlights included under the deal are Delivery Man, with Vince Vaughn, and Need for Speed, which stars Aaron Paul and is based on the hit video game.

Rüdiger Böss, the senior VP of group programming acquisitions, said: "It is great that we are able to secure the rights to the upcoming DreamWorks productions together with our partner Constantin Film. This adds numerous premium titles to our library and will allow us to keep offering our viewers first-class entertainment from Hollywood in future as well."
