WWE Appoints GM for Germany, Switzerland & Austria

MUNICH: Stefan Kastenmüller has been hired for the newly created role of general manager for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at WWE, which has opened its first office in Germany.

Kastenmüller will be charged with expanding the brand and business in the GSA markets. He will concentrate on increasing distribution through strategic partnerships and building up fan engagement for WWE's live events, digital content, community outreach campaigns and retail initiatives. His new position is immediately effective.

Kastenmüller has been working in brand and entertainment management for the past two decades. He previously served in executive management posts at Ringier, UFA/Fremantle, Disney, Philip Morris and MTV.

"Germany, Switzerland and Austria are important WWE markets and have been for a long time thanks to a passionate and growing fan base," said Gerrit Meier, the executive VP of international at WWE. "Hiring an experienced manager like Stefan and opening a new office reflects WWE's commitment to the region, our fans and our partners."
