COLOGNE: Magine is delivering its subscription cloud-based TV service in beta format in Germany this month.

The service brings cloud-based live TV, catch-up and on-demand programming together in the same place. Its first edition launched in Swedish homes in March, featuring the national Swedish broadcasters SVT and TV4 as well as CNN International, BBC, Eurosport, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Magine expects to extend the service into several other European territories by the end of the year.

Michael Werner, Magine’s chairman, said: “Magine is TV reinvented. It is not just another platform but it is a better way to watch TV. The service launched in our home territory Sweden two months ago and has been a huge success. Germany is a vital territory for us and we are looking forward to working with the country’s top content providers.”
