Sir Peter Bazalgette Joins Board at ITV

LONDON: ITV has placed Sir Peter Bazalgette, formerly the chief creative officer at Endemol, on the board at the broadcaster as its non-executive director.

The appointment takes effect June 1. Bazalgette is currently the chair of the Arts Council and the president of the Royal Television Society. During his time at Endemol he had created a number of successful formats and delivered them globally.

Archie Norman, chairman of ITV plc, said: “Peter has a fantastic track record of management of creativity in television and tremendous knowledge and experience of the global content business. His appointment is an important further step in building an ITV board capable of combining deep commercial skills with knowledge and understanding of the creative industries. We are delighted he is joining us.”
