HONG KONG: Fashion One has inked a new carriage deal in Thailand and has announced the commission of a local style series in Taiwan.

Freestyle, from Banana Limited, focuses on trendsetters and hotspots in Taiwan, where Fashion One is carried on Chunghwa MOD and CNS. The series premieres this summer.

“This is our first local production taking place in Taiwan with a local team who know the best about fashion and trends in the region," said Ashley Jordan, the CEO of Fashion One. "Not only are shopping and dining in Taiwan amazing, but so are its people and their lifestyle. Our local viewers will feel inspired to find their own style through the program. Fashion One is looking forward to shooting more productions in Taiwan for our local viewers that receive the dedicated Taiwanese feed of the channel.”

In Thailand, a deal has been sealed with Cable Thai Holding (CTH), bringing the channel to 3.5 million TV households. "With Thailand being one of the leading Asian countries in the luxury, fashion and travel sector, the region has a lot to offer to the program lineup of Fashion One," added Jordan. "In addition to revealing fashion in all aspects of life to our audiences in Thailand, Fashion One will also showcase the incredible fashion, entertainment and lifestyle programs created within the country.”

Fashion One has also expanded in Europe, rolling out on the Splius pay-TV platform in Lithuania.
