Extreme Sports Channel to Live Stream Via Xbox 360

LONDON: Extreme Sports Channel has inked an innovative deal to live stream a sporting event through the Xbox 360 game console.

The BMX Finals of the 13th annual Simple Sessions BMX and skateboarding contest will be available to stream across EMEA through Xbox LIVE, the channel’s website and session.ee/live. This will be the first live streamed sporting event with audiences engagement and polling results broadcast on Xbox LIVE in EMEA. The event takes place in Estonia on March 17.

Andy Viall, the head of online for Extreme Sports Channel, said: "We have been bringing the action from Simple Sessions live to our web viewers for the past three years and are thrilled to be developing this into the games console space, and to be one of the first to broadcast sports content live with interactive audience polling via the Xbox.”
