MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises has restructured its four genre-specific divisions, alongside appointing Fred Burcksen as COO for the investment and sales unit.

The changes are taking place across ZDFE.junior, which manages children and youth programs and is led by Peter Lang; ZDFE.drama, under which Tasja Abel oversees series and TV movies; ZDFE.factual, the doc unit led by Ralf Rueckauer; and ZDF.entertainment, headed by Sylvia Brucker with concerns in variety, music and sports programming. The acquisitions and co-productions division, under the direction of Voker Lehmann, will be attending to the business services concerning ZDF, in particular the acquisition of international feature films, docs, children’s programs, TV series and more.

Burcksen is overseeing the organization unit of investment sales in the COO role. Stephan Adrian will continue to be responsible for the commercial business sector as CFO. Alexander Coridass, the president and CEO, will be leading the strategy and corporate development of the entire ZDFE group.

Coridass said, “We at ZDF Enterprises are not only looking back on 20 years of corporate history in 2013, but we shall also be offering our German and international clients and business partners an even better service in the future thanks to the new structure. I am looking forward to collaborating with Stephan Adrian and with Fred Burcksen as new co-manager. For many years now, Fred has been an exceptionally successful, innovative and ‘can-do’ media manager who will help us consolidate our position on the market and contribute to our development.”
