LONDON: Angela Neillis has been hired as the first head of acquisitions for Sky Vision—a new distribution company formed by BSkyB and Parthenon Media Group—which is looking to acquire drama and comedy programming.

Prior to her appointment at Sky Vision, Neillis was a commercial manager at BBC Worldwide, where she worked with producers to raise the commercial and creative appeal of series and increase investments and co-productions around the world. She first joined the company in 2006 as the commercial manager for drama and comedy in the indie division.

As Sky Vision’s head of acquisitions, Neillis will strategize with the global sales team to exploit new content in the U.K. as well as internationally. She will work under Connie Hodson, the company’s commercial director.

Neillis commented: "I’m enormously excited to be joining the company at this time. It offers a great opportunity to collaborate both with producers who have worked with Sky and those who haven’t. Sky Vision will make a real difference to the global production community and I’m thrilled to be a part of it."

Hodson added: "Angela’s appointment underlines our commitment to producers as we work towards making Sky Vision their first port of call for new, popular, distinct and relevant programming for a global audience. I’m so pleased Angela has joined us and look forward to working with her."
