Sky Deutschland Scores Film Package from Tele München

MUNICH: Sky Deutschland has secured a package of film rights from Tele München Group (TMG), including the exclusive TV premieres for Magic Mike, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2 and more.

The agreement provides Sky with the exclusive German pay-TV rights for a number of current blockbusters as well as library titles. Included under the pact are, among other films, the new Astérix movie Astérix & Obélix: God Save Britannia, the film adaptation of the Jack Kerouac classic On the Road and the new Robert Redford film The Company You Keep. Catalogue titles such as Dirty Dancing, Tomb Raider, Universal Soldier, Total Recall and Scary Movie are also featured.

All films housed under the deal will also be available on Sky Anytime and Sky Go in Germany.

Gary Davey, the executive VP of programming at Sky Deutschland, said: "The Tele München Group is among the most important independent film rights distributors. With the new agreement we secure top-class productions and underline our leading position in the film sector."
