LONDON: Stephen Ladlow has been appointed the director of Challenge and Pick TV, Sky’s free-to-air entertainment channel brands.

Ladlow has been with Sky since 2002, holding a number of positions at Sky’s ad sales house, Sky Media. He now takes over responsibility for Challenge, a service dedicated to game shows that moved from pay TV to free TV in January 2011, and Pick TV, which features content from Sky’s entertainment channels.

Stuart Murphy, the director of programs at Sky, said: “As our only free-to-air entertainment channels, Pick and Challenge play an important role within our broad portfolio of channels. Stephen’s love of TV coupled with his experience and expertise of working with brands in innovative ways is just the combination we’ve been looking for.”

Ladlow added, “Challenge and Pick TV provide great entertainment and play an important role for Sky. I’m excited about the opportunity to bring in new partnerships and to evolve what we offer both viewers and advertiser alike.
