LONDON: The lineup of speakers for this year’s RTS Digital World Conference is headlined by Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney/ABC Television Group, and Gary Zenkel, the president of NBC Olympics.

The day-long conference, sponsored by BBC Worldwide, is titled When Worlds Collide: Beyond the Digital Looking Glass. The event will focus on the changing face of television, as audience connectivity and social media become more integrated. The conference will take place at London’s Barbican Centre on September 28.

Also lined up for the event are, among others, David Abraham, the chief executive of Channel 4; Peter Fincham, the director of television at ITV; writer and producer Steven Moffat; John Smith, the CEO of BBC Worldwide; and Sophie Turner-Laing, the managing director of entertainment and news at Sky.

Smith, who is the chair of the conference planning committee, commented, “We’ll be telling you more about future digital viewing habits, apps and how to make a successful product and what we might learn from gaming. In addition to panel sessions we’ll have masterclasses, fireside chats and keynotes from the great of the good both within and without our industry. You’ll be entertained, informed… and pushed outside of your knowledge zone.”
