Oliver Fahlbusch to Lead Corporate Communications for RTL Group

LUXEMBOURG: Oliver Fahlbusch is taking on responsibilities as the head of RTL Group’s corporate communications, effective July 1. 

Fahlbusch joined RTL Group in August 2006, as deputy head of corporate communications. He also previously held successive positions at Bertelsmann’s corporate communications department from April 2000 to July 2006. He became a member of the Bertelsmann spokesperson group in 2001 and was upped to VP of media relations in January 2004. 

In the role of senior VP of corporate communications and marketing,  Fahlbusch will oversee the group’s internal and external communications activities. He will be reporting to Anke Schäferkordt and Guillaume de Posch, co-CEOs of RTL Group. The two issued a joint statement regarding Fahlbusch’s promotion: “We’re very pleased that Oliver Fahlbusch will take over RTL Group’s communications. He is deeply familiar with RTL Group, Bertelsmann and the international media industry, and has a remarkable track record. Over the past six years, Oliver has played an instrumental role in successfully communicating RTL Group’s strategy and results, and in actively contributing to the Group’s reputation.
