LOVEFiLM Gains Titles from Twentieth Century Fox

LONDON: Recent and upcoming movies and TV shows from the Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution catalogue are going to be available for streaming on LOVEFiLM via a new multi-year deal between the two outfits. 

Members can instantly stream content in what is the second pay-TV window for Twentieth Century Fox film content. The agreement kicks off with titles that were released theatrically in the U.K. in 2011, which will become available on LOVEFiLM starting from March 2013. The pact includes library films and shows as well as upcoming titles. Starting this July, the offering will include early seasons of Sons of Anarchy and all seasons of 24, Prison Break, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel

LOVEFiLM has a number of similar agreements in place, with outfits such as Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, NBCUniversal, Disney, BBC, ITV and others.

This partnership will give LOVEFiLM members access to the studio’s huge range of recent movies and the opportunity to revisit some of the best American TV series produced in recent years.”

Gina Brogi, the executive VP of worldwide pay television and subscription video on demand for Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, added: “We are delighted to be partnered with LOVEFiLM on this new window for Fox films in the U.K. This film and series agreement enables us to give U.K. fans yet another avenue to enjoy the great stories and characters they have come to know and love from our studio.”
