LONDON: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks has split the management of its business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) into two distinct regional roles.

The region is split into Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (CEEMA). Kate Marsh leads Western Europe as the senior VP. She will continue to lead the U.K. and Italy, but takes on additional responsibility for Iberia and for developing opportunities in the Netherlands, Scandinavia and France. Juan Romeu continues to lead Iberia as senior VP and general manager, reporting to Marsh. Lyle Stewart is responsible for CEEMA as senior VP. With this promotion, Stewart continues to oversee the business in Germany, Russia, the Baltics and Africa, but adds Central and Eastern Europe to his remit.

Both Marsh and Stewart continue to be based at SPT Networks’ London base. Both report to Andy Kaplan, the president of SPT Networks.

Kaplan said: “Following a significant period of expansion in EMEA, it is clear that to accomplish the next stage of our growth it is time to look at the region in two parts. Kate and Lyle’s contributions to SPT Networks over the years have been significant, making them the right fit to lead these territories into the future.”
