Viasat Norway to Provide 3D Coverage of 2012 Olympics

STOCKHOLM: Modern Times Group’s Viasat Broadcasting in Norway and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) are cooperating to deliver live 3D coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Viasat will broadcasting more than 100 hours of live coverage on its Viasat 3D channel, which will be the only Norwegian pay-TV platform showcasing coverage in 3D. NRK will broadcast coverage in HD on its NRK1 and NRK2 channels, which are also available on the Viasat satellite platform.

Viasat 3D will deliver eight hours a day in 3D, as well as four hours of daily highlights. The 3D content from the Games will be produced by Olympic Broadcasting Services.
