Parthenon Content Travels to Germany, Central & Eastern Europe

LONDON: Around 200 hours of programming from the Parthenon Entertainment catalogue is making its way to channels in Germany and throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

Red Bull Media picked up a package of 18 hours for its Servus TV channel in Germany. This includes Islands, Deserts and Life, Deserts and Life Special, Frogs: The Thin Green Line, Ultimate Journeys: Iceland and The Green Land.

A package of programming is also headed to Russia, via a deal for 97 hours of content with the newly launched distributor Mauris Film. Among the shows included are Sea Hunters, Animals that Made History and Dreamwrecks.

Ukraine’s Inter TV ordered 70 hours from Parthenon for its K1 and Mega. Included were 5th Dimension, Five Years on Mars, The Ice Hotel, Super Ships, 21st Century Shark and Jesus: The Missing Years.

In Poland, the home-video buyer Galapagos picked up TV and DVD rights for the preschool series Olly the Little White Van.
