Miramax Enters Movie Deal with Sky Italia

CANNES/SANTA MONICA: Sky Italia is set to air a number of titles from the Miramax library on its pay-TV channels in Italy. 

The Miramax slate has more than 700 motion pictures. A number of these titles have been licensed to Sky Italia for pay TV under a new movie deal. 

“We have pledged a commitment to our subscribers to deliver the best of cinema and Miramax’s library of award winning movies will help us accomplish this goal,” said Andrea Scrosati, the executive VP of cinema, entertainment and third-party channels at Sky Italia.

Danny Goldman, Miramax’s senior VP and head of sales for Europe, added: “The Miramax library offers hit movies in every genre, from action-adventure and horror to comedy and family films—and a vast array of award-winning dramas. We are pleased to continue developing alliances around the globe and that the Miramax films will continue to be available in the Italian market through Sky Italia’s fantastic service.”
