Sky Deutschland Continues to Bulk Up HD Roster

UNTERFÖHRING: MTV Live HD is the latest high-definition channel to join the Sky Deutschland lineup.

The channel will be added to the Sky Welt package, available to all Sky HD customers in Germany and Austria. The channel will replace the SD VH1 Classic. The MTV and Nicktoons channels will continue to be distributed as part of the Sky Welt Extra package. Sky Deutschland and Viacom International Media Networks are also expanding their collaboration, with plans to enter a multi-brand cooperation in the VOD sector.

Peter Schulz, the VP of partner channels at Sky Deutschland, said: “Just a few weeks ago we promised to expand our HD offering to more than 60 channels, and now we deliver on this promise by bringing customers an outstanding new HD channel. I am very pleased that we can take this step with our long-time partner Viacom. Our customers can look forward to more exciting news to come in the coming weeks and months.”
