Global Screen sold The Heineken Kidnapping to MPI Media in the U.S., while Transmission Films in Australia and TriArt in Sweden picked up I, Anna. Oops! Sonia Mehandjiyska, the head of theatrical and TV sales at Global Screen, said, “We are very pleased with the sales we achieved as Global Screen at our first market. As a joint venture between Telepool and Bavaria and representing a diverse lineup, we were successful in a variety of genres, such as the psychological thriller I, Anna, screened in the Berlinale Special section, as well as our Family Entertainment films including Niko 2, Legends Of Valhalla: Thor, The 7th Dwarf and Hanni & Nanni. We were also successful with the based-on-a-true-story thriller The Heineken Kidnapping, which we sold to the U.S., and Wunderkinder, whose bright young star Elin Kolev performed with the Berlin Philharmonic during the Berlinale."
