Channel 4 to Launch New Catch-Up Service

LONDON: Channel 4 has unveiled plans to launch a new TV channel, 4seven, which will allow viewers to watch repeats of its most popular shows starting this summer.

The channel has been developed under the code name Project Shuffle. It will allow viewers who missed Channel 4’s live broadcast the opportunity to catch up with them over the next seven nights. Channel 4 has scored a Freeview slot and carriage deals with Sky and Virgin Media. No launch date has been confirmed, but a summer launch is on the planner.
