Sky Deutschland & Warner Bros. Extend Output Deal

MUNICH: Sky Deutschland and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution have reached a long-term multiplatform agreement that includes exclusive SVOD rights for all new releases and exclusive pay-TV rights during the license period of the first pay window.

Films include J. Edgar, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Dark Shadows, The Dark Knight Rises and the German local productions Kokowaah and Mannerherzen und die ganz ganz grosse Liebe. The pact covers the exclusive SVOD rights for all new releases during the license period of the first pay window and the exclusive pay-TV rights for all Warner films across all distribution channels, including satellite, cable, IPTV, Internet and mobile.

Through Sky Anytime, Sky Film customers can watch these films on demand at no additional cost. Sky Go customers also get the programming for on demand on the web, tablets and more. The deal extends until the end of 2015.

Not only does this deal secure one of Hollywood ́s most important suppliers for pay TV, it also guarantees quality films for our innovative services Sky Anytime and Sky Go.”
