TVE to Co-Produce 3-D Animated Series

CANNES: Televisión Española (TVE) has signed up to co-produce Jelly Jamm, an animated 52×11-minute 3-D CGI series created by Spanish companies Secuoyas and Vodka Capital.

Targeting 4- to 6-year-olds, Jelly Jamm tells the story of five friends that live on a magical planet called Jammbo, the origin of music in the Universe. The show will be produced in Spain, while script development will be done by a team of British and American scriptwriters and educational advisers.

The director of TVE, Javier Pons, said: "TVE has always been involved with hugely talented animation projects and we are more than happy to be directly involved with Jelly Jamm."

He continued: “Jelly Jamm is more than a kid’s programme, it brings music to life, combining education and a passion for music in a unique and vibrant universe. With this coproduction, TVE confirms its vocation as a public service, whilst demonstrating its support and commitment to the Spanish animation industry.”

Víctor M. López, the CEO of Vodka Capital, commented: “Having the opportunity to co-produce a series as ambitious as Jelly Jamm with Television Española is fantastic, and together we aim to make Jelly Jamm an international reference kids entertainment brand. The objective is ambitious and challenging to achieve, yet the vast experience we have acquired, together with our world-class creative and production teams and alongside the support of partners like TVE will go a long way in helping our vision become a reality.”
