yes Studios’ The Chef Renewed

yes TV has ordered a second season of the drama series The Chef, produced by yes Studios and Kastina Communications.

The Chef follows an unemployed high-tech worker who gets a job in the kitchen of a prestigious restaurant run by a chef who is struggling to stay relevant and keep his place at the top of Tel Aviv’s competitive gastronomic world. Exploring the topic of toxic masculinity, The Chef juxtaposes the two male protagonists—a family man collapsing under the weight of his responsibilities and humdrum existence, and one who is single, hedonistic, self-absorbed and seemingly at the top of his game.

Created by Erez Kavel and Orit Dabush, the series stars Gal Toren (Losing Alice), Guri Alfi Aaron, Rotem Sela (The Beauty and the Baker), Yael Elkana, Omer Etzion, Gitit Fischer and Romi Aboulafia.
