Widow’s Bay Coming to Apple TV in April

The ten-episode drama Widow’s Bay, starring Matthew Rhys, is slated to debut on April 29 on Apple TV.

Created, showrun and executive produced by Katie Dippold, the drama centers on the mayor of a struggling community who is desperate to revive his town. He must contend with superstitious locals who believe their island is cursed, and when he finally turns the town into a tourist destination, he realizes the locals were right.

Rhys stars alongside an ensemble cast led by Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey.

Widow’s Bay comes from Apple Studios. It is directed by Hiro Murai through his banner Chum Films. Executive producers include Murai, Rhys, Carver Karaszewski and Claudia Shin.
