Warner Bros. TV & Berlanti Team for Anna O Adaptation

Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions have acquired the rights to adapt Matthew Blake’s debut crime thriller Anna O as a series for Netflix.

Blake will serve as an executive producer on the project, which follows an expert in sleep-related homicide as he investigates the inexplicable case of Anna O, who murdered two people with no apparent motive and hasn’t woken up since.

When the killer shows the first signs of stirring, the forensic psychologist must determine what really happened the night of the murders and whether or not she should be held criminally responsible for her actions when she finally wakes up.

When Anna O was submitted in 2022, it received 16 international offers in just 48 hours of submission and went on to secure three separate seven-figure deals around the world. It was published in North America on January 2, 2024 by HarperCollins U.S./HarperCollins Canada.
