ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) is set to co-produce the action series Dale Gas with Dynamo and Netflix.

The series will tell the story of Kike Guerrero, a talented illegal street race car driver that wants to live an honest life but is forced to return to Monterrey, where his family became powerful in the automobile crime world. Starring Benny Emmanuel, Andrés Delgado and Renata Vaca and filming in Mexico City, Dale Gas will premiere on Netflix at the beginning of 2021.

Dale Gas was created by Alejandro Fernández, who will share directing credits with Ernesto Contreras and Edgar Nito. David Figueroa, Itzel Lara and Alfredo Mendoza will be the show’s screenwriters, with Andrés Calderón and Juliana Florez serving as its executive producers.

Federico Cuervo, head of ViacomCBS International Studios Americas, said: “We are excited to start production on this captivating action series alongside Dynamo, one of today’s leading production companies. The production will be using state-of-the-art technology to delight audiences with non-stop action and adrenaline.”

Andrés Calderón, CEO of Dynamo, said: “For us at Dynamo, it’s been an incredible experience to produce a series in Mexico, our most important Spanish-language market.
