Viacom Plots To Catch a Thief TV Remake

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa and Viacom International Studios (VIS) Latin America are co-producing To Catch a Thief (Atrapa a un Ladrón), a Spanish-language series remake of the classic Alfred Hitchcock movie.

Pablo Echarri—who has starred in movies such as The Method (El Método) and Burnt Money (Plata Quemada)—will play Juan Garay, alias “The Cat.” Alexandra Jiménez—whose 20-year career across TV and cinema includes Spanish Movie, Super López and Kiki, Love to Love—will play Lola Garay, a police inspector and wife of the former burglar Juan.

The ten-episode series is being brought to life by Javier Olivares, whose work includes Isabel and The Department of Time (El Ministerio del Tiempo).
