AfterShock Comics has inked a deal with Universal Television that will see The Lost City Explorers headed to the small screen.

The Lost City Explorers is a sci-fi story focused on a group of teens who become underground urban explorers after a mysterious expedition leads to the disappearance of one of their fathers. The book is written by Zack Kaplan.

Kaplan will serve as an executive producer and writer. Lee Kramer and Jon Kramer from AfterShock Media will also serve as EPs.

The Lost City Explorers is a story to inspire the imagination and unlock everyone’s hidden explorer,” said Kaplan. “Along with AfterShock, I’m thrilled to partner with Universal and help bring this story to television.”

“We at AfterShock are excited for this first project with Universal and thrilled that they saw in The Lost City Explorers what we saw—an incredibly fun and thought-provoking story from a creator with tremendous talent,” said Lee Kramer and Jon Kramer, AfterShock’s president and CEO respectively.
