Sky Studios is working on a pair of new original series for Sky Deutschland: Garten Eden and KraNK Berlin.

Tobias Rosen, VP of Sky Studios Deutschland, said: “Building on the success of juggernaut Sky original series Das Boot, Der Pass and Babylon Berlin, as well as the forthcoming Drift: Partners in Crime, these two new series symbolize our ambition to expand the range and breadth of our German-originated slate, bringing customers something they’ve never seen before on Sky. Both of these new, bold and distinctive series will be delivered by some of the best talent working today, and we can’t wait to begin production soon.”

The eight-part Garten Eden follows Jakob Eden, a celebrity chef with far too much mouth and a penchant for light drugs and bipolar disorder. When his late father’s restaurant is on the brink of ruin, he is lured back to work in the kitchen. Hager Moss Film is producing in association with Sky Studios.

KraNK Berlin is a hospital drama with a healthy dose of black humor. The eight-part series is set in Neukölln Hospital (KraNK for short), which enjoys the dubious distinction of being one of the toughest and most overcrowded hospitals in Germany. It is produced by Violet Pictures and Real Film Berlin in association with Sky Studios.
