The Turkish drama series Woman (Mujer), sold by Calinos Entertainment and based on a format from Nippon TV, has been picked up for an exclusive U.S. premiere on Pasiones.

The drama depicts a woman’s fight to navigate an often-difficult world and make a place for herself and her children. The series launches on Pasiones on April 8 and will air Monday through Friday at 6 p.m.

During its run in Turkey, Woman averaged a 14.83 total audience share during prime time.

“Turkish dramas continue to be in high demand among audiences, and Mujer delivers with an exciting plot highlighting the authentic and disparate experiences of women as they navigate through life, focusing on the strength and love they must find within themselves—and each other—in order to lift up and provide for their families,” said Francisco Gimenez, senior VP and general manager of cable channels for Hemisphere Media Group, the network’s parent company. “We are thrilled to offer such well-received and cutting-edge dramas to our viewers and look forward to providing them exclusive access to top-quality entertainment like Mujer.”
