FOX Networks Group Content Distribution (FNGCD) has inked a raft of new deals from its catalog of Turkish dramas, selling more than 2,600 hours across Latin America, Central Europe, Asia and Africa.

In LatAm, Canal 13 in Chile picked up the drama Wings of Love. That is My Life is headed to broadcasters in Peru and Panama, and FNGCD has now closed a major deal with Caracol TV in Colombia for its entire run to date, as well as agreements for multiple seasons with Canal 10 in Uruguay, Telemundo in Puerto Rico and Belleville Media for a range of its channels across Central and South America.

In Europe, Romania’s Antenna acquired Cherry Season, while Pro TV recently struck a deal for Wings of Love. Modern Times Group also went for Cherry Season for TV3 in Lithuania, In Love Again for both TV3 Lithuania and TV3 Latvia, plus a new season of That is My Life for TV3 in Bulgaria. Nova in Croatia bagged Wings of Love, and the latest season of That is My Life has been licensed by both Telewizja in Poland and TV Pink in Serbia.

In Asia, a deal was struck with Khabar (Kazakh TV) in Kazakhstan for both Cherry Season and Wings of Love. Previously, That is My Life was seen in the territory on Astana TV. GMA in the Philippines and HT Pictures in Vietnam have also licensed Wings of Love.

In Africa and the Middle East, That is My Life has been sold to Kana TV in Ethiopia and to Nessma TV in Tunisia.

Prentiss Fraser, FOX Networks Group Content Distribution’s executive VP and managing director, commented: “Demand for high-quality Turkish drama is increasing worldwide and we are delighted to have a terrific pipeline from FOX Turkey to meet that demand. So many of the titles in our catalog have been top ratings-winners in Turkey and this, combined with their ongoing production from well-known and highly respected producers, is giving reassurance for buyers looking for something compelling and long-running to lock in their audiences. Latin America and Eastern Europe have already established themselves as key regions for Turkish drama but I am excited to see new territories and platforms around the world embracing our beautifully produced Turkish content.

“Being part of the wider 21st Century Fox family places us in a beneficial position when it comes to hosting such a big event at this market and we are delighted that our focus on Turkish drama at the FOX lot has already received an excellent response from a large number of international buyers who are flying into L.A. As well as screening recent and new series, we are confident that meeting the talent and producers involved with key titles will make our content even more memorable for those scripted programming buyers that will be in attendance.”
