The Shannara Chronicles Moving to Spike TV

The second season of the fantasy series The Shannara Chronicles will air on Spike TV this fall, moving from its original home on MTV.

Filmed on location in New Zealand, the new season will consist of ten one-hour episodes. It is based on the best-selling fantasy book series by Terry Brooks. Spike will introduce the series to its viewers this summer, as it will encore season one beginning on June 29.

Meanwhile, Spike will relaunch as Paramount Network next year.

The Shannara Chronicles is produced and distributed worldwide by Sonar Entertainment in association with Millar/Gough Ink and Farah Films.
