LONDON/LOS ANGELES: Thanks to a deal signed with IMG and The Ink Factory, Amazon Prime Video will bring the six-episode miniseries The Night Manager to its streaming service in the U.S., U.K. and Japan later this year.

Prime members will be able to stream or download the series at no additional cost to their membership. In Japan, Prime Video will be the only destination in the country where viewers can watch the show. Based on John le Carré’s spy novel, The Night Manager recently premiered in the U.S. on AMC, following a successful six-week run on BBC One in the U.K.

“We’re focused on providing our customers with compelling, must-see series that raise the bar for entertainment,” said Brad Beale, the VP of digital video content acquisition for Amazon. “Prime members love having access to gripping, distinctive series like Orphan Black, The Americans and Downton Abbey, and we’re thrilled to announce that The Night Manager will be added to the collection of binge-worthy TV available on Prime Video later this year.”

Stephen Cornwell, co-CEO at The Ink Factory, added: “The Night Manager is a truly international production, and we’re delighted that the series is continuing to cross both platforms and territory boundaries with such success. Amazon is a fantastic partner to have on this project and we look forward to seeing it launch on Prime soon.”

WME/IMG partner Chris Rice commented, “We couldn’t be happier that Amazon is joining this show as our primary SVOD partner, particularly given the show’s great literary heritage, we feel it will be a perfect fit for their audience.”
