The Librarians Spin-Off Moves to TNT

Electric Entertainment’s The Librarians: The Next Chapter is now set for a TNT debut, following its move from The CW.

The new show, which is slated to air in 2025, follows a custodian of supernatural artifacts from the past who time travels to the present and finds himself stuck. The Librarians franchise started off as a compilation of made-for-TV movies that TNT picked up for a series in 2014.

Electric Entertainment’s Sonia Mehandjiyska, head of international distribution, and Nolan Pielak, senior VP of international distribution and co-production, will be handling international sales for The Librarians: The Next Chapter. Steve Saltman, Electric’s head of domestic sales, will handle digital rights, alongside TNT.

Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment and showrunner and executive producer, said, “Our comeback to TNT with this franchise holds immense significance for us, and we are thrilled by TNT’s dedication to fans by offering them the continuation of one of their beloved fantasy series.”
