Season two of The Cleaning Lady kicks off next week on FOX, continuing the story of a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. as an undocumented immigrant to get her son life-saving medical treatment and is forced to forge her own path in the criminal underworld. The show, based on the Argentinean series La chica que limpia, comes from Miranda Kwok, a veteran of the Hollywood studio circuit. Kwok tells TV Drama Weekly about bringing marginalized voices to U.S. network television.
