Super RTL Goes for Crime Procedural Cain

Super RTL has acquired three seasons of the hit crime drama procedural Cain, marking the first time the show will air in Germany.

Set in Marseille, Cain is a cop show with a twist—a fast-paced police procedural that focuses on the human behind the criminal. It centers on Detective Fred Cain (Bruno Debrandt), a cop who was previously injured in the line of duty and is now wheelchair-bound but is still quicker than most able-bodied people.

The drama is now in its eighth season. Lagardère Studios Distribution, which locked in the Super RTL deal, has also sold the show to AMC (Spain), Walter Presents (U.S. and U.K.), FOX Crime (Bulgaria), Mnogo Serinoye (Russia), Globosat (Brazil), Radio-Canada (Canada), RTS (Slovakia) and TV Spektrum (Poland), among others.
