Stephen Poliakoff’s Close to the Enemy Set for Super Channel

EDMONTON: Super Channel has acquired the British drama Close to the Enemy, set in the aftermath of World War II, from all3media International.

From Stephen Poliakoff, the seven-part series will premiere on November 10 at 10 p.m. in Canada and will also be available to subscribers on Super Channel On Demand the following day. Jim Sturgess (One Day, London Fields) stars in the drama as Intelligence Officer Captain Callum Ferguson, whose last task for the army is to ensure that a captured German scientist starts working for the British RAF on urgently developing the jet engine.

Super Channel also picked up season two of The Missing from all3media International. The eight new episodes will debut on the channel in March 2017.
