STARZ Begins Developing Outlander Prequel

The Outlander prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood is currently in development for STARZ in Canada and STARZPLAY in Europe and Latin America.

The drama follows the love story of Jamie Fraser’s parents. Outlander showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts is writing for the prequel and will also showrun and executive produce.

Maril Davis and Ronald D. Moore, who developed Outlander for television, will also executive produce under their production banner Tall Ship Productions. Story Mining & Supply Company will executive produce as well, with Diana Gabaldon serving as a consulting producer.

Sony Pictures Television is producing the prequel series.
