Sony Pictures Television Buys Stake in Swedish Drama Producer

LONDON: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has acquired a minority interest in the Swedish production company Palladium Fiction.

Palladium Fiction is led by Henrik Björn, Filip Hammarström and Johan Rudolphie, who are behind the mystery-noir drama Jordskott. The outfit will focus on high-end international dramas, with SPT distributing the content globally.

Andrea Wong, the president of international production at SPT, said: “Palladium are a great complement to our growing portfolio of high-quality drama production companies. Collectively, Henrik, Filip and Johan have a distinctive voice that is edgy, thought-provoking and entertaining. Their talents are evident in their ambitious development slate and we look forward to helping them build on their success.”
