Sky Sets Mary & George Premiere

Mary & George is set to bow on Sky Atlantic and the streaming service NOW on March 5.

Starring Julianne Moore (Still Alice, Far from Heaven, May December), Nicholas Galitzine (Cinderella, Purple Hearts) and Tony Curran (Mayflies), the seven-episode historical psychodrama sees Mary Villiers push her son George to seduce the king.

Mary & George is produced by Hera Pictures in association with Sky Studios. The series is written by D.C. Moore (Killing Eve, Temple), inspired by Benjamin Woolley’s nonfiction book The King’s Assassin. Liza Marshall is executive producer for Hera Pictures alongside D.C. Moore, Oliver Hermanus and Julianne Moore. Hermanus (Living, Moffie) also helms the series as lead director.

The title will air on Sky Atlantic in the U.K., Ireland, DACH and Italy. STARZ holds the exclusive distribution rights in the U.S. and Canada. NBCUniversal Global Distribution handles international sales on behalf of Sky Studios.
