Lucy Dyke joins Sister—the independent content studio co-founded by Jane Featherstone, Stacey Snider and Elisabeth Murdoch—to lead its new northern production hub.

The Manchester-based Northern Sister will focus on developing and producing high-end scripted projects in the region, nurturing new creators from diverse backgrounds both on- and off-screen.

Along with developing her own projects in the region, Dyke will continue to work with the teams located in London and L.A. Dyke is currently working with Jane Featherstone (Chernobyl, Giri/Haji, Utopia) and Sister Executive Producer Chris Fry (Chernobyl, Giri/ Haji, Humans) on a number of new scripted projects.

As a freelance producer and exec, Dyke has overseen two seasons of the BBC/AMC co-production The Split for Sister. Prior to joining Sister, Dyke produced Black Mirror for Netflix and Ripper Street for Amazon.

Dyke said: “I’m delighted to set up a permanent home here in the North whilst continuing my long-standing relationship with Jane and the exceptional team at Sister. This is an exciting chance to collaborate with the extraordinarily talented creatives in this area and beyond, and to recognize the need to create more opportunities outside of London. Sister is a brilliantly empowering company who always put great storytelling first and I can’t wait to explore what we can do together.”

Featherstone, Sister co-founder and chief creative officer for London, said: “I’m so thrilled Sister is able to support and encourage Lucy’s ambitions in the north. We share her passion and drive to continue to collaborate with established partners as well as seek out, connect with and develop emerging voices from across the U.K. It’s a brilliant opportunity; one which we’re all incredibly excited about and inspired by. I for one, can’t wait to see what the team starts to generate with such a wealth of phenomenal talent.”
