Sherlock: The Final Problem to Screen in U.S. Cinemas

NEW YORK: BBC Worldwide North America and Fathom Events are giving Sherlock: The Final Problem a theatrical release in the U.S. for an exclusive two-night run.

The finale of the fourth season of the BBC/Masterpiece drama will screen in movie theaters nationwide on Monday, January 16, and Wednesday, January 18. Movie-goers will be treated to 15 minutes of exclusive extras, alongside the season finale.

Sherlock producer Sue Vertue commented, “Following the success of the limited theatrical run of The Abominable Bride, Hartswood Films are thrilled to be working with BBC Worldwide and Fathom Events to bring the season four finale, The Final Problem, to U.S. cinemas.”

Soumya Sriraman, the executive VP of franchise and digital enterprises at BBC Worldwide North America, noted: “We can’t think of a better way to start the new year off then experiencing the adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson on the big screen. The bonus content will be an excellent treat for the show’s loyal fans.”
