Shahid VIP Slates Rashash

Shahid VIP has lined up a July premiere for the original drama Rashash from MBC Studios.

Billed as the largest Arab production created for a streaming platform to date, Rashash tells the story of the notorious criminal of the same name in the 1980s, and the Saudi police’s efforts to bring him to justice. It is inspired by real events.

The first episode of the Saudi drama debuts on Shahid VIP on July 9. The eight-episode series, in Saudi Arabic, will be accompanied by English subtitles. One 55-minute episode will be released every week.

Tony Jordan (Hustle, EastEnders) is behind the series. Colin Teague (The White Queen, Jekyll & Hyde) directs.
