Eccho Rights has landed a first round of deals for the action thriller Safe Harbor, which has sold to ITV in the U.K., among others.

Through the new agreements, Safe Harbor will premiere on ITV’s streamer ITVX and Ireland’s Virgin Media Television in spring 2025, with SBS set to air later in the year. The cast includes Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders), Colm Meaney (Hell on Wheels), Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones) and Martijn Lakemeier (Maxima).

The drama comes from Ozark co-creator Mark Williams. Commissioned by Dutch streamer Videoland and Belgium’s Streamz, Safe Harbor is a co-production from Submarine in the Netherlands, Munich- and London-based Night Train Media and Zero Gravity Management, the Los Angeles production label of Williams, who wrote, co-directed and executive produced the series. Williams wrote the eight-part script based on an idea from Submarine co-founder and executive producer Femke Wolting. Herbert L. Kloiber and James Copp are executive producers for Night Train Media.

Kloiber, CEO of Night Train Media and distributor Eccho Rights, said: “Safe Harbor has generated a great deal of buzz in the market, with its truly international profile and A-list cast. Coupled with Mark’s unique talent in combining action, violence, heart and humor, buyers have been jumping at the chance to bring it to their audiences.”
