S4C Lines Up New Crime Drama

Filming has wrapped on Cleddau, a new crime drama for the Welsh-language S4C channel starring Elen Rhys (The Mallorca Files, Panic Button).

The six-part series was filmed on location on the Pembrokeshire coast in West Wales and South Wales. The drama marks Rhys’s return to Welsh TV in her first major role in her native language.

Cleddau is an emotionally charged, psychologically driven thriller that sees DI Ffion Lloyd (Rhys) partnering up with her ex-lover DS Rick Walters, played by actor Richard Harrington (Hinterland, Fisherman’s Friends: One and All), to find out who is responsible for murdering a nurse in a Welsh coastal town.

The Blacklight-produced original series is written by Cath Tregenna (Three Pines, Law & Order UK, Lewis, DCI Banks, The Bench).
