Russian Drama Set for Korean Remake

Eccho Rights has unveiled a deal for the Russian crime thriller Silver Spoon to be remade in South Korea.

Supermoon Pictures has acquired the remake rights to the drama series made by Sreda Production Company for Channel One. The show has run for three seasons in Russia, was acquired by Netflix and has been optioned for local adaptation in a number of markets.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Russian drama and concluded that this story and characters will translate well as a Korean remake,” said Insoo Shin, CEO of Supermoon Pictures.
