PARIS: Sky Vision’s new thriller Riviera is lined up for a World Premiere TV Screening at MIPTV.

Riviera is set on the Côte d’Azur in the South of France. The thriller stars Julia Stiles, who will be in attendance in Cannes to promote the launch, along with co-stars Lena Olin, Adrian Lester and Dimitri Leonidas. Also expected at MIPTV for the premiere are executive producers Liza Marshall and Paul McGuinness and series producer Foz Allan.

Riviera, a Sky original production, will be shown exclusively on Sky Atlantic in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria in 2017. The series is produced by Archery Pictures and Primo Productions, and worldwide sales are handled by Sky Vision.

Jane Millichip, the managing director of Sky Vision, said: “Thank you to the organizers of MIPTV for selecting Riviera for the World Premiere TV Screening at this year’s festival. The series is set on the French Riviera and radiates glamor, style and quality. How fitting, it is making its debut at a festival in Cannes!”

Laurine Garaude, the director of the TV division at Reed MIDEM, which organizes MIPTV, added: “What better place for Sky Vision’s World Premiere TV Screening of Riviera than on the French Riviera itself. MIPTV will provide a global stage for the launch of this new series and a warm welcome to accompanying cast members and executive producers. The Cannes Film Festival has presented many Neil Jordan films, including Mona Lisa and Not I, and we couldn’t be happier to present his new original production for Sky at MIPTV for an audience of top buyers, media and other decision-makers from around the world.”
