The 59th Monte-Carlo Television Festival is set to feature Ricky Whittle (American Gods, The 100, Mistresses) as the president of the fiction jury for the Golden Nymph Awards.

Joining Whittle on the fiction jury will be Pedro Alonso, Anne Kolbjornsen, Gisella Marengo, Gideon Raff and Ola Rapace. Rory Kennedy is the president of the news jury, which will also include John Irvine, Ghislaine Ottenheimer, Paul Refsdal, Luca Rosini and Masaru Zenke.

The 59th Monte-Carlo Television Festival runs from June 14 to 18, with the fiction and news juries being officially presented during the opening ceremony. The 2019 laureates will be announced during the Golden Nymph Awards, which will be held on the last day of the festival.

Laurent Puons, CEO of the festival, said, “The Golden Nymph Awards are a big part of our festival and are presented to only the very best talent from around the world. Ricky’s credentials make him a great choice for president of our fiction jury and we are very pleased to welcome him to Monaco.”

Whittle added: “I am delighted to be part of the fiction jury for the Golden Nymph Awards—the nominees lineup is incredible this year. This is a fantastic time to be involved in scripted television. My fellow jury members and I look forward to the exciting challenge of deciding on the ultimate winners when we convene in Monte-Carlo next month.
