Red Arrow Unveils New Book-Based Drama Vienna Blood

Red Arrow Studios’ Endor Productions and Austria’s MR Film are co-producing the new drama series Vienna Blood, which will be globally distributed by Red Arrow Studios International.

Set in the 1900s, Vienna Blood (Liebermann) is based on the best-selling novels penned by Frank Tallis about a protégé of Freud who teams up with a detective to help investigate a series of disturbing murders. The cast is being led by Matthew Beard and Juergen Maurer. ORF in Austria and ZDF in Germany are commissioning broadcasters and co-production partners.

Filmed in English, Vienna Blood will comprise three feature-length episodes, the first of which begins production this month in Vienna. The series is being directed by Robert Dornhelm and Umut Dag.
